I have to say ...This is a really interesting study. I have to say though, I somewhat disagree with the percentage of starts as criteria. If you look at the careers that these 5 guys have had, Kyle Korver is clearly the definitive 3 point specialist in today's game, particularly after the record of consecutive games with a three-pointer that he just broke. However, he is thriving right now as a starter with the Hawks. Were he to remain a starter for this season and next with the Hawks, he would move over your 25% of games started limit. Would that suddenly disqualify him from being considered one of the best 3 point specialists in history? Of course not. Some guys are just so good at it that they are capable of starting. Still, very interesting article.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710522823800571102.post-84877765511387757872013-06-28T18:49:43.501-04:002013-06-28T18:49:43.501-04:00Well said. I had to google it to see what you were talking about:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utahraptor
Utah should totally get the Raptors name. And Toronto is considering a name change anyway:
http://nba.si.com/2013/06/05/toronto-raptors-name-change-tim-leiweke-masai-ujiri/
Apparently, they originally considered Grizzlies, Bobcats, Huskies, Terriers, Beavers, Dragons, and Hogs, among others. I'm down with Bobcats or Grizzlies, but I'm sort of rooting for Hogs.Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11585495330571814948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710522823800571102.post-72785737005559342492013-06-21T14:13:36.350-04:002013-06-21T14:13:36.350-04:00The Minneapolis Lakers won 5 titles before moving ...The Minneapolis Lakers won 5 titles before moving to LA. But I'm sure there were plenty of great shooters before the 3-point line was instituted in 1979. If you had to guess, who do you think would have made the list?Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11585495330571814948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710522823800571102.post-67495736844736205572013-03-04T00:01:08.808-05:002013-03-04T00:01:08.808-05:00This is will never include some of the greats beca...This is will never include some of the greats because the 3-point line only entered the NBA in the mid 80'sAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710522823800571102.post-76541475018014206272013-01-27T13:34:42.948-05:002013-01-27T13:34:42.948-05:00Based on this chart, I have to assume you look dec...Based on this chart, I have to assume you look decent in a suit.Steffaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07532284807327784598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710522823800571102.post-16374077460566847912013-01-07T21:57:01.481-05:002013-01-07T21:57:01.481-05:00Thanks for the explanation regarding your absence,...Thanks for the explanation regarding your absence, Geoff.
